Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrants re-issued

Lahore, 5th August 2020: Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrants have been re-issued.

According to reports, the Lahore Accountability Court has issued warrants of former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif in the illegal plot allotment case while extending the judicial remand of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman till August 20.

In the accountability court, the police had to present Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman for illegal allotment of plots and misuse of powers, but he was not produced due to the prevailing pandemic. The court extended the judicial remand of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman on a warrant.

Medical Report of Nawaz Sharif Submitted in LHC

The court issued bailable warrants against Mian Nawaz Sharif for not appearing in the NAB’s reference case. While postponed the hearing of the reference on August 20 after completing the attendance of former LDA directors Faiz Humayun and Bashir Ahmed, who were named in the case.

The accountability court adjourned the hearing of the case of accused Ahad Cheema involved in fraud of billions of rupees in LDA City till August 19.

NAB has sent former DG LDA Ahad Cheema to jail in the LDA City case. Ahad Cheema was to be produced in the court at the end of remand, but the accused did not come due to Corona. The case was extended by the court by sending a warrant.

The court has directed the NAB to file a reference against the accused soon. Cheema is accused of selling plot files worth billions of rupees.
