Mumbai, 30th September: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as given an almost clean chit to the Bollywood actresses regarding the recent drug case.
According to reports from ABP News, NCB has almost given a clean chit to actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor, and Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash, all of them were recently interrogated by the NCB in connection with the alleged drug nexus in Bollywood.
Reportedly, Padukone and Prakash told NCB officials that in 2017 WhatsApp chats, they had used the words maal, weed, hash and doob as code names for various kinds of cigarettes “for fun”.
NCB officials asked Padukone and Prakash the same set of questions in separate rooms.
However, an official statement from the NCB officials is still awaited.
After the sudden suicide episode of the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput on 14th of June, NCB officials have summoned many bigwigs from the industry to unearth an alleged drug cartel.
