March 24, 2021: Giving a media briefing after the NCOC meeting, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said that the spread of Corona in some districts of Punjab including Lahore is worrisome.
Shafqat Mehmood said that in Sindh, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan, the severity of corona is low, where the severity of corona is high, educational institutions will remain closed till April 11. NCOC has decided to close schools in some districts of Punjab till April 11.
Schools in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Multan will remain closed Schools in Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, Sheikhupura will also remain closed, all educational institutions will be closed till April 11, educational institutions in Islamabad will also be closed till April 11.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
All Public & Private schools of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargoda, Sheikhupura will remain closed till April 11th, 2021. The remaining Districts will be open on previous schedule.— Murad Raas (@MuradRaasMR) March 24, 2021
It may be recalled that earlier on November 26 last year, it was announced that educational institutions across the country would be closed due to the second wave of corona virus and its escalation in Pakistan. Earlier, after the first closure on March 23 last year, educational institutions were reopened in phases from December 15 last year.
