Eight hundred and ninety-nine people received the injections between June 5 and 10 at the former NFL Experimental Building. ATC Vaccination Services, the company that manages the shots, said in a statement to CBS New York: “We apologize for the inconvenience. There is no risk from the vaccine received. “
An email from the state health department said the doses were too much in the freezer, adding that there was no guarantee that the vaccine would expire. Gabriel Napolitano Swift, the mother of 15-year-old recipient Dante Swift, pointed out that “it’s not like one day he’s messed up. It’s been five days.”
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday eased state-related sanctions on Covid, calling it “an important day.” The move is the result of more than 70% of adults in the state receiving at least one dose of the vaccine.
