No chance of Zil Haj moon on July 10: PMD predicts the date for Eid-ul-Adha

Lahore, 27th June: No chance of Zil Haj moon on the 29th Ziquad, hence, Eid-ul-Adha will be on July 21.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), that there is no chance of sighting the new moon of Zilhaj 1442 AH on the evening of July 10 i.e. 29th of Ziquad.

The new moon of Zilhaj, 1442 AH will be born at 06:18 Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on July, 10 (Saturday).

According to the climate record, the weather is expected to be fair or partly cloudy in most parts of the country on the evening of July 10.

The crescent of Zilhaj which is the last month of the Islamic lunar calendar will most likely be sighted on Sunday evening which is July 11.

Thus, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on 10 Zilhaj which will fall on Wednesday, July 21.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting will be held on July 10 for sighting the Zilhaj 1442 AH crescent.

The Zonal and District Ruet-e-Hilal committee meetings are also expected to be held to sight the new moon for the month of Zil Haj.
