No winter holidays in schools this year

Lahore, 17th November: There will be no winter holidays in educational institutions, the provincial education minister has clarified.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, the provincial education ministry has decided not to give winter holidays in educational institutions across the province this year.

According to sources, the minister said that due to the coronavirus, there have already been more holidays than usual, so there will be no winter holidays this year.

Provincial Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the decision of the steering committee does not include winter vacations in the schedule so winter vacations are not likely at present but it will be discussed further in the NCOC meeting at the end of November.

It is to be noted that after the second wave of Coronavirus in Pakistan, the NCOC has directed to call 50% staff in government offices, while in this regard an important meeting was also held yesterday regarding educational institutions. An extended winter holiday has been proposed but a final decision will be taken next week.
