Noor Mukadam Murder Case: We must end Injustices against Women!

I thought I was angry when I first learned about it on the 22nd but as time passes and more details emerge, I am not just angry anymore… I feel this indescribable rage at what a man like Zahir can do to a woman and think that they could get away with it.

Earlier, I posted a letter on Baaghi TV because I felt compelled to raise my voice — as a woman and a mother. The gist of the letter is as follows:

“Unfortunately, our history of criminal justice shows that the wealthy and powerful too often get away with murder even after being proven guilty.

As a nation, we must put an end to such injustices against women. Perhaps we will look back on this brutal and horrific killing as the wake-up call we needed to realize that goal.”

Moreover, as reported by Baaghi TV, a First Information Report (FIR) had been registered against Jaffer for the murder of 27-year-old Noor Mukadam under Section 302. Following this, his family tried to manipulate the justice system by portraying a monstrous human being as mentally unstable.

Let there be no doubt that this barbaric act was premeditated with an intention to kill!

Mental illness must not become the focal point of this case or a bargaining chip for a lesser charge.
Zahir Jaffer is a sociopath who clearly planned Noor Mukadam’s killing and now must be given the harshest sentence for his grisly crime.

History tells us that the worst of the crimes fade away and are forgotten. So, it behooves us that we keep Noor’s memory alive until justice is served.

The entire nation is looking towards our justice system for fairness and impartiality and demands that Noor Mukadam’s murderer, Zahir Jaffer is given the maximum sentence admissible under the law!
