Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard the bail plea in the Noor Mukaddam murder trial. According to reports, Khawaja Harris and counsel for the plaintiff appeared on behalf of the petitioner.
Justice Amir Farooq said that the arguments against the petition will be heard at the end, as the court adjourned the hearing on the bail plea for an hour. Strict security measures were put in place for the Noor Mukaddam murder case.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, the lower court has rejected the bail plea of the accused’s parents, which was filed in the Islamabad High Court. Additionally, the court rejected the bail pleas of the Jaffer’s gardener Jan Mohammad and Chef Jameel.
It should be noted that the daughter of the former ambassador Shaukat Mukaddam was killed in the limits of Kohsar police station in Islamabad. Noor Mukaddam’s killer accused Zahir Jaffer, his parents, and other accused are imprisoned in Adiala Jail. The US embassy has spoken to Noor’s killer.
A case of murder of Noor Muqaddam, daughter of former ambassador of Pakistan Shaukat Ali Muqaddam has been registered in Kohsar police station. Police say a case has been registered under Section 302 of the IPC on the complaint of the girl’s father Shaukat Ali Muqaddam.
