ISLAMABAD: The bail pleas of the parents of Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor Muqaddam murder case, have been rejected.
According to the details, Zahir Jaffer’s father Zakir Jaffer and mother Asmat Adamjee had filed a bail application in a local court in Islamabad stating that they were not with their son and did not know that such a thing was happening at home.
The murder case of Noor Muqaddam was heard in the Sessions Court of Islamabad. The Sessions Court of Islamabad had reserved the verdict on the bail application of the parents of Zahir Jaffer which was announced today.

During the hearing, the lawyers of the accused and the prosecution had given arguments on the bail application. Various cases and decisions were referred by the lawyers of the accused in the court. The court had reserved its decision on completion of arguments of the parties.
The public prosecutor said that the accused was talking to the parents but they did not inform the police. They tried to save the son. Moreover, the pistol used for murder is also in the name of the accused’s father Zakir Jaffer.

The call detail record (CDR), digital video recorder (DVR), closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage can be seen, the public prosecutor said. He tried to save the child on the basis of dishonesty, at this stage the bail application should be rejected. The prosecutor said that the accused was talking to his parents but they did not inform the police.
It may be recalled that Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Sohail of Islamabad had yesterday reserved judgment on the bail pleas of the parents of accused Zahir Jaffer.

Police arrested accused Zahir Jaffer in the Noor Muqaddam murder case on July 20, 2021, while the accused’s parents were arrested on July 25, 2021. They were arrested on charges of concealing the accused’s crime. The government has blacklisted Zahir Jaffer and Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that all the evidence regarding the case is complete and hoped that the accused would be sentenced to death.
