Noor Muqaddam murder case: Statement of plaintiff Shaukat Ali Muqaddam recorded

Statement of Noor Muqaddam’s father and plaintiff Shaukat Ali Muqaddam has reportedly been recorded. Prior to the statement, plaintiff Shaukat Ali Muqaddam was sworn in.

Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani issued a 4-page written judgment stating that the court temporarily examined the mental condition of the accused Zahir Jaffer and found no disability. The facts and the situation show that the accused has no mental illness. The written judgment added that excuse of mental illness was offered later to divert attention and get rid of the case.

The court said in a written decision that there was no reason to form a medical board and the application was rejected. The accused has been facing trial with his parents, neither the accused’s parents nor any family member has applied to the medical board. The court had earlier rejected the request of accused Zahir Jaffer for medical treatment in the Noor Muqaddam murder case. The court reserved its decision after hearing arguments from the parties’ lawyers.
