North Waziristan: Four soldiers martyred in Tank IBO

At least four soldiers were martyred and one terrorist was arrested during an intelligence-led operation in North Waziristan on Friday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
According to the media wing of the Pakistan Army, the security forces conducted an operation in the area on the information of the presence of terrorists. Four soldiers were martyred during a fierce exchange of fire with the terrorists.
“Terrorists identified as Shahzeb alias Zakir and Daniyal were involved in terrorist activities against security forces, target killing and kidnapping for ransom,” ISPR said.
The martyred soldiers include: Hawaldar Munawar, 40, resident of Bahawalnagar; Zakaullah, a 31-year-old soldier from Lakki Marwat. Farhan, a 34-year-old soldier from Kohat; And Shiraz, a 30-year-old soldier from Abbottabad.
Meanwhile, two terrorists were killed in another security operation in Tank area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The ISPR added in a separate statement that they were identified as Shahzeb alias Zakir and Daniel.
It said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the suspects, who were involved in “terrorist activities against security forces, targeted killings and kidnappings for ransom.”
Meanwhile in another operation conducted in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district, the security forces apprehended one terrorist along with weapons and ammunition.
Earlier this year, Pakistan Army captain was martyred during an IBO in Tank. The ISPR said that the security forces conducted an operation after receiving information about the presence of TTP in Tank. At the time, TTP Commander Khawaza din alias Sher Khan was killed during the operation.
