Karachi – September 4, 2025: Renowned actress Sania Saeed has highlighted the importance of mental and emotional readiness in becoming parents, stressing that not every married couple is capable of taking up the responsibility of raising children.
Speaking on Nida Yasir’s morning show ‘Good Morning Pakistan’, Sania Saeed discussed the sensitive issue of parenthood, saying that raising children requires strength, patience, and stability. According to her, society often pressures couples into having children without considering whether they are prepared for lifelong responsibilities.

She pointed out that in many families, people suggest that having a child will resolve marital issues. However, she emphasized that such pressure only complicates matters further, especially when parents themselves are struggling with personal or psychological challenges.
“Raising even a two-and-a-half-year-old child is not easy. Parents may already be dealing with their own problems, and in such cases, children can unintentionally add to the difficulties,” she remarked.

The actress further explained that marriage itself is a union of two individuals raised in different ideologies and environments. A relationship only succeeds when partners understand each other, communicate openly, and build mutual trust. Once that foundation is in place, they can consider taking on the responsibility of parenthood.
Sania Saeed’s bold statement sheds light on an important issue in Pakistani society, where cultural and family pressures often overlook the mental health and well-being of couples.
