Lahore, 29th July: Bodies of the late mountain climber, Muhammad Ali Sadpara and other climbers have been recovered from the bottleneck of K2, however, they cannot be brought down.

Sajid Sadpara, son of the late mountaineer late Muhammad Ali Sadpara informed that the bodies of his father and other climbers have been found from the bottleneck of K2, however, it is not possible to bring the bodies down.

Sajid Sadpara took to his Twitter account and confirmed the news via a video. He said, “We have retrieved the bodies of Muhammad Ali Sadpara, John Snorri of Iceland and Juan Pablo Mohr of Chile at an altitude of 8,400 meters on K2.”

Sajid disclosed that he went there along with Canadian filmmaker Elia Saikaly and Nepal’s Pasang Kaji Sherpa on a search mission and found that the bodies of Muhammad Ali Sadpara and John Snorri were at a difficult place. Hence, it is not possible for them to bring the bodies down.

Sajid added that they were trying to shift the bodies near the route leading to the base camp.

It is to be recalled that on July 26, Gilgit Baltistan Information Minister Fateh Ullah Khan had confirmed that the bodies of Pakistani mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara, John Snorri and Juan Pablo had been recovered from the bottleneck of K2.

It is pertinent to mention that the late mountaineers had gone missing on February 5 and were declared a few days later after their bodies were not recovered following the rescue mission.
