Notification Issued to Ban I’tikaf Across Punjab

Lahore: Ban on I’tikaf across Punjab, complete lockdown in Lahore imposed.

According to sources, the Punjab Endowment Department has issued a notification banning Itikaf, stating that this step has been taken in view of the deteriorating situation in Corona.

The notification said that “there will be a complete ban on I’tikaf in mosques and shrines across Punjab.”

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar announced a complete lockdown in the capital for two days after the increase in the rate of corona cases.
