Srinagar (Baaghi TV): Three freedom fighters were martyred in a clash between security forces and freedom fighters in Khalchohar Ranipura area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir on Monday morning.
According to South Asian Wire, a joint team of Army, CRPF and SOG cordoned off the Khalchohar Ranipura area and launched a search operation after receiving reports of the presence of freedom fighters. The operation lasted only 30 minutes. Due to which it is feared that this clash was fake. The operation began at 3 a.m. Monday, according to South Asian Wire. Police allege that the freedom fighters belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Police say 113 freedom fighters have been killed in 13 operations in 2020. Earlier on Friday morning, three Kashmiri youths were martyred while a soldier and a policeman were injured.
According to South Asian Wire, 209 people have been arrested in 112 different incidents in Anantnag district since 2000. In 1043 incidents, 242 freedom fighters, 584 civilians and 27 unidentified persons were martyred. In the same period, 241 security forces personnel were also killed in the district.
In Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, 145 Kashmiris were martyred in 2020 this year, including 22 in January, 12 in February, 13 in March, 33 in April, 16 in May and 49 in June. While 30 security personnel were killed. According to police, 60 incidents of arms seizure were recorded this year.
According to South Asian Wire, 21 civilians and one security official were killed in 16 blasts this year while 14 security personnel were injured. In 2020, 129 people will be arrested in 62 different incidents.
