Islamabad, Sept. 13 (Online Int’l): A new scandal has been revealed in which officers have allegedly tried to save financially corrupt persons through negative tactics. Sources stated that a high level meeting’s minutes were deliberately changed in order to protect the persons involved in billions of rupees corruption in National Assembly Secretariat. High level officers of PAC and Additional Secretary were the main characters of this malicious exercise. They deliberately changed the meeting’s minutes of PAC meetings decisions and saved financially corrupt persons, sources stated.
Sources further stated that investigation against officers who changed meeting minutes hasn’t been completed yet and the whole scandal has been put into cold storage. Ex-Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Saddiq had uncovered this alarming matter in the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting and demanded immediate investigation on this matter. On that time he further stated that officers of PAC secretariat had linked with corrupt elements and they were trying their level best to safe these corrupt persons from punishment.
Hina Rabbani Khar and other members of PAC had endorsed the statement of Sardar Ayaz Saddiq and also demanded investigation on this matter. They protected number of people through such negative tactics. Even the PAC Chairman Rana Tanveer had promised to investigate this matter and so far nothing has happened on this matter.
