OPF sacks three employees for fake degrees

Islamabad June 26: Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF), a sub department of the ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, has kicked off cleanup operation against fake degree holders, sources said on Tuesday.
They said at least three fake degree holders have been removed from their jobs and inquiry against many others have been entered in the final phase. Many fake degree holders have also been succeeded to get retirement from the department and many others have acquired protection using political influence.
The sources said that OPF Managing Director Dr Aamir Sheikh has ordered inquiries against fake degree holders. As a result, three employees have been sacked from their jobs and many others are about to sack as inquiry against them has been entered in the final phase.
The sources said that two employees have been succeeded to take retirement from their jobs. The sources said that they both were allegedly fake degree holders. The retired employees have benefited for over Rs20 million as pensions besides other incentives.
They were inducted during the government of MQM on fake degrees.
