The opposition decided in their All Parties Conference (APC), held on Friday decided to submit no-trust motion against Senate Chairman on July 9.
According to reports of Baaghitv, opposition parties have decided to submit a no-trust motion against Chairman of Senate Sadiq Sanjrani on July 9 in their endeavor to de-seat the Chairman of upper house, The joint opposition has chosen Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F)’s Akram Khan Durrani as the Rahbar Committee convener.
Akram Khan Durrani as the Rahbar Committee convener speaking to media after the meeting said, “We all have agreed that the Senate chairman should be removed and motion against him will be submitted on July 9. The opposition will come up with a new name for the post on July 11,”
The joint opposition conference was attended by nine political parties which include PPP, PML-N, ANP, JUI-F, PkMAP, QWP, NP, and JUI-P, Speaking on the occasion former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said, “Pakistan should be run only through a parliamentary system. We reject any talk of presidential system or any other system,”
He said it is the right of elected members of Parliament that their production order to be issued and it is the privileged of Chairman of Senate and Speaker of lower house of Parliament to issue the production orders of members of Parliament.
