Lahore, 18th May: Faisal Sultan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health has given a recent update on the coronavirus vaccine safety.
According to the SAPM, out of the 3.8 million vaccinators, 4,329 had adverse effects so far.
Sultan took to his Twitter account to share the information.
He wrote, “Vaccine safety profile. Out of 3.8 million+ doses, 4,329 reports of adverse effects have been reported so far. Nearly all reports were of mild, expected side effects – 90% involved pain at the site of injection or fever.”

Faisal Sultan said that almost all the reports were mild and expected side effects. However, 90% reported pain and fever at the injection site.

He further said, “Only 6 serious cases were reported and all reports were thoroughly investigated.”
He also said that those 6 cases were coincidental and non-attributable to the COVID-19 vaccine.
