Over 100 deaths reported in Pakistan as cases continue

During the last 24-hours, 105 deaths and 5,312 new cases have been reported in Pakistan. 

According to reports, the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed the mortality rate to be 15,229 deaths while, 69,811 active cases across the country. Meanwhile, the total number of infected cases is 710,829 and recovered patients is 625,789 as per latest reports.

During the second phase of the country-wide inoculation, citizens over the ages of 50 and 60 are being vaccinated in centers set up by the government. Meanwhile, in the private sector citizens have been provided the opportunity to get vaccinated at a prescribed cost of approximately Rs.12,250/-, according to reports.

The government has urged the public to ensure implementation of SOPs with proper ventilation of homes.
