“Over 200 pilots have not appeared for exam, and now hope for forgiveness”
Wednesday, June 24th: According to the report of Baaghi TV, the National Assembly is in session, Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan has presented the report of PIA plane crash in the meeting.
Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that the mistake made by the pilot in the plane crash was the same mistake made in the Gilgit plane crash, it will take a year to prepare a complete report of the plane crash, unfortunately this is not the first accident in 72 years. There have been 12 incidents, these 12 incidents were not investigated in time and no report came out, Air Blue and Bhoja Air plane crash also happened due to the mistake of the pilots.
Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan further said that all the previous accidents were not investigated in time, no report came out and the facts did not reach the people. Until today, there was a thirst among the people and the families of the deceased as to who was responsible for these incidents.
Unfortunately, merit was ignored while recruiting. Unfortunately, the degrees of four PIA pilots turned out to be fake. Forty percent of the pilots’ licenses were fake.
Illegal appointments affecting CAA’s performance
Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan further said that the pilot who flies in the air with many human lives, his license is also fake, he is being recruited on political grounds, I am sad, what I want to talk about is what will be the effect? There are 860 active pilots in Pakistan. Of all the airlines, it is sad to say that when the inquiry started at a high level, out of 860 pilot exams, 262 were found who did not take the test themselves and given that, it happens that the other candidates passed by paying money, the merits of the institutions are squandered, the degrees are forged and the licenses are forged.
New Islamabad Airport portraying the CAA incompetence
Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that it is a shame that we are not able to show the world that the licenses of our 262 pilots are fake. In the initial stages, action has been initiated against 54 fake pilots, 24 have been given show cause notices, many of them have gone to court, 18 pilots have been given personal hearings, 9 pilots have pleaded guilty and also said, “Forgive us for our mistake. Allah will forgive us. We will not forgive. There will be no politics in it. There will be no likes and dislikes. We will explain everything in court.”
The Federal Minister further said that my request is that it is a matter of national security and it should not be made a political issue, action will be taken against all those responsible, Prime Minister Imran Khan has vowed that we should not privatize PIA, we have to restructure PIA, we have to take PIA towards its promise, we have to make the national airline as glorious as it was in the 60’s and 70’s. He said that all the meetings he held at PIA said that it would not be privatized but had to be restructured.
Investigation report came out regarding Junaid Jamshed’s plane crash
I am ashamed that there was a time when we were laying the foundation of Emirates, we were laying the foundation of Singapore Airlines, we were training their pilots and this is the situation today, we are determined to make things right. It was my responsibility to bring the report to light. We will give the full report of all the inquiries in the House again with action.
Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that a copy of the report should be sent to any forum including the standing committee.
