Overseas Pakistanis playing pivotal role in nation building :CCPO
Lahore: A joint meeting of District Overseas Pakistanis Committee(DOPC), Lahore police and allied departments was held on Thursday, in the conference room of Capital City Police Headquarters to discuss the issues of overseas Pakistanis.
Chairman District Overseas Pakistanis Committee Jahangir Hussain Bara presided over the meeting whereas Incharge Complains Cell Capital City Police Headquarters DSP Khalid Saeed, General Assistant Revenue One Mian Hamid Rashid, Member DOPC Ali Raza Naqvi, Inspector Munawar Dogar and other related officers attended the meeting.
The meeting listened to the cases of possession of land and properties, revenue, fraud and other matters of Overseas Pakistanis and issued directions to the concerned quarters for speedy action on the complaints of Expats. The Expat citizens expressed their gratitude over timely action on their complaints by the District Overseas Pakistanis Committee. Chairman DOPC Jahangir Bara lauded the efforts of Lahore Police to retrieve the possessions of land and properties of the citizens including overseas Pakistanis from influential land mafia. Capital City Police Officer(CCPO) Lahore Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev separately has said that the Overseas Pakistanis have been playing pivotal role in the growing economy and socio-economic development of the country. Fayyaz Ahmad Dev has emphasized the importance of overseas Pakistanis in nation building and their contribution to boost the economy of the country through their remittances, a significant factor in the economic development. Lahore Police in collaboration of District Overseas Pakistanis Committee and allied departments has been taking concrete measures to redress the grievances of Overseas Pakistanis regarding their all police related issues including cases of possession of land and properties, the CCPO Lahore added. Commander Lahore Police has further said, Anti Qabza Cell and a dedicated helpline 1242 established at Capital City Police Headquarters have been rendering effective services by taking immediate legal action for redress of grievances of the citizens including expatriates Pakistanis in land grabbing and harassment and other related issues.
