Pak-Afghan Trade to be Conducted in Pakistani Rupees

A decision has been taken that the trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan will be conducted in Pakistani Rupees.

According to reports, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen has told the Standing Committee on Finance that Afghanistan fears a shortage of dollars.

He said that people could also be sent from Pakistan to run various affairs in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen further said that the FBR system was hacked by Indian hackers in 2019 as well.

It is to be noted that despite the turbulent situation in Afghanistan, Pak-Afghan trade is still continuing. Traffic is allowed to go through the borders and recently, Pakistan also established a humanitarian air bridge in Mazar-i-Sharif, carrying a plane full of necessities, medicines, and food, in collaboration with international authorities. A large number of Afghanistan depend on aid.
