Pakistan allows the US to use its airspace and land, claims Pentagon

Lahore, 24th May: The United States Department of Defense, Pentagon claims that Pakistan has allowed the US troops to use its airspace and land.

Baaghi TV: Pentagon officials claim that Pakistan has allowed US forces to use airspace and land to help maintain a presence in Afghanistan.

This was claimed by US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Affairs David F. Helvey in a briefing to the US Armed Services Committee last week.

The Secretary of Defense for Pacific Affairs, David F. Helvey told the US Senate Armed Services Committee last week that America would continue its talks with Pakistan because it has a major role to play in restoring peace in Afghanistan.

According to David Helvey, Pakistan’s role in establishing peace in Afghanistan is crucial. The report added that Pakistan has also allowed flights and land use over Pakistan to support the US presence in Afghanistan.

According to earlier reports, last month, US President Joe Biden announced his plans to withdraw all US and NATO forces from Afghanistan by September 11 this year.

The United States and the Taliban signed an agreement on February 29 last year to end the Afghan war and withdraw US troops after the longest US war.
