According to Baaghi TV, seven countries, including Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, have decided to come together for digital cooperation.
The 7-nation Digital Operations Organization was set up, with the federal cabinet approving Saudi Arabia’s proposal to join the organization. 7 countries including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Egypt will be part of this organization.
India was not included in the 7-nation digital project. Regarding digital transformation in the region, key decisions will be made by the member countries. Cyber security, health systems and education systems will be digitized. The Digital Cooperation Organization will be headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The first meeting of IT ministers of member countries has reportedly convened.
Pakistan will be represented by Federal Minister for Information Technology, Syed Aminul Haq.
At the last meeting of the Federal Cabinet, the Cabinet approved in principle the establishment of the Digital Cooperation Organization, proposed by the Saudi Arabian government. The establishment of this institution will help in the development of the information technology sector among the countries of the region.
