Pakistan Army soldier martyred in terrorist attack on North Waziristan check-post
Oct 4, 2021: Terrorists targeted Security Forces post in Ghariuom, North Wazirstan according to the ISPR.
Pakistan army troops responded promptly to the attack. During exchange of fire Sepoy Muhammad Amir Iqbal, age 30 years embraced shahadat. Area clearance in progress to eliminate any terrorist found in the area.
Pakistan Army soldier was martyred in a terrorist attack on a check-post in North Waziristan, the military’s media wing said in an official statement on Monday.
A statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations said that terrorists attacked a security forces check post in Ghariuom area of North Waziristan while 30-year-old soldier Muhammad Amir Iqbal was martyred.
The forces took immediate and effective action against the terrorist attack, he added, adding that a clearance operation was underway against the suspects.
Attacks on security forces in Waziristan and adjoining tribal districts have increased in recent days.
Earlier, the Pakistan Army conducted an Intelligence Operation (IBO) in South Waziristan in which 10 terrorists, including four militant commanders, were killed. The forces conducted operations against terrorists who took part in planting IEDs, carrying out fire raids and target killing of innocent civilians.
The terrorists were programming other acts of terrorism inside the South Waziristan district. The ISPR warned that Pakistan Army was steadfast to exterminate all the brutes.
Last week on Thursday, a TTP terrorist was killed and a Pakistan Army captain was martyred in an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Tank district. The Pak Army’s media wing statement said, TTP terrorist commander Khawaja din alias Sher Khan got killed during the Intelligence Based Operation (IBO). During the operation, weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the hideout out.
During intense exchange of fire, Captain Sikandar, age 27 years from Pakpatan embraced shahadat.
While on September 20 this year, a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander was killed in an intelligence-led operation (IBO) in North Waziristan. Security forces conducted IBO in Mir Ali North Waziristan. Safiullah, a TTP terrorist commander, was killed during the IBO.
Safiullah belonged to Mir Ali and was involved in the killing of four women by an NGO in February 2021 and the targeted killing of Frontier Works Organization (FWO) engineers in November 2020. The TTP commander was also involved in planning and carrying out IED attacks on security forces, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
