April 29, 2021: According to the report of Baaghi TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that in case of current account deficit, the rupee depreciates. Addressing a gathering, PM Imran Khan said that he congratulated Roshan Digital Accounts on the arrival of 1 Billion.

The problem is that no one has pushed for an increase in exports, the increase in the growth rate has increased the pressure on the current account, in the last 30 years have gone to the IMF 20 times, Prime Minister Imran Khan added. Overseas Pakistanis are our great asset. He also talked about the expertise Shaukat Tareen would bring to the table for economic reform.

The PM said in the past, no one was pushing to increase Pakistan’s exports. Due to non-growth of exports and shortage of dollars, we had to go to the IMF. PM Imran Khan further said that the bank should train its staff to give loans to small people. Pakistan’s biggest problem is to ignore the export sector, last year record remittances have come, all records have been broken, until exports increase, we have to close this gap with remittances, the rupee does not stabilize.

So investment is affected, Prime Minister Imran Khan complained in his speech that our embassy in Saudi Arabia did not take care of overseas Pakistanis.

I am investigating the matter of Pakistani embassy in Saudi Arabia, I am recalling most of the staff at the embassy in Saudi Arabia, those in the embassy who did not cooperate with Pakistanis will be punished.

He added that 9 million Pakistanis abroad is a huge asset, they work twelve hours a day, save money and send it to their families. SBP Governor Raza Baqir has said that FBR has facilitated tax system for Pakistanis living abroad. It is the vision of the Prime Minister to provide investment opportunities to overseas Pakistanis.
