ISLAMABAD (Baaghi TV) — November 4, 2025: Security forces across Pakistan have intensified counterterrorism operations, killed several key militant commanders and neutralized multiple networks operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan. Officials say these actions reflect ongoing efforts to restore stability amid renewed militant activity in border regions.

In Tank District’s Lali Khail area, security forces acting on intelligence reports engaged Afghan militant Abu Dujana, who was killed while preparing improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Two to three accomplices managed to escape, reportedly in injured condition. A 30-kilogram IED and heavy weapons were recovered from the site.

In a separate operation in Bajaur District’s Khosar area, forces eliminated Ziauddin alias Ibrahim or Idrees, a top ISIS commander involved in the assassinations of PTI leader Rehan Zeb, ANP leader Maulana Khan Zeb, and multiple law enforcement officials. Security sources said Ziauddin, once imprisoned in Afghanistan’s Pul-e-Charkhi Jail, had re-entered Pakistan in 2023 to reorganize ISIS’s regional network. His killing, officials said, marks a major blow to ISIS-Khorasan’s operational structure in northwestern Pakistan.

Nationwide, Pakistan conducted over 62,000 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in 2025 — averaging 208 per day. According to official data, these operations killed 1,667 terrorists, including 128 of Afghan origin. The country recorded 4,373 terrorist incidents in the first ten months of the year, resulting in 1,073 fatalities, among them 584 security personnel and 356 civilians.

In Sindh, Sindh Rangers arrested three key militants from the Khawarij network during a targeted operation in Kanwari Colony, Karachi. The suspects, identified as close associates of commander Shamsul Qayyum alias Zawil, confessed to involvement in extortion and land grabbing. They were later handed over to police for legal proceedings.

In Balochistan’s Awaran district, militants ambushed a convoy in Jhao, destroying three vehicles in a coordinated attack. Security forces launched a search operation, though casualties are yet to be confirmed. Separately, in Musa Khel, two commanders affiliated with the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) — Asghar Khan and Feroz Khan — were killed during an operation. The men were reportedly behind a 2024 attack that killed 23 passengers.

Officials also confirmed the killing of BLA commander Abdul Khaliq alias Wadu, who managed the group’s drug-financed supply chain near the Iranian border. Authorities described his death as a major disruption to the BLA’s logistics and narcotics funding network.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, multiple operations were carried out in North Waziristan and Kurram districts. In Tudda Cheena, three terrorists were killed and four injured in an intelligence-led operation, while a separate incident in Judra Kharki, Central Kurram, saw a civilian killed when militants fired a mortar shell on a house.

Meanwhile, five police personnel were injured when unidentified assailants ambushed the convoy of DPO Waqar Ahmad Khan near Mamashkhel, Bannu. The DPO escaped unhurt as security forces launched a large-scale search operation.

Elsewhere, in Tirah Valley’s Qambar Khel area, the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has reportedly agreed to withdraw after mediation by tribal elders, following weeks of civilian displacement and clashes. Local sources said the militants verbally committed to vacating populated areas in the coming days.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed another engagement in Esham, North Waziristan, where troops killed two militants linked to the Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij group while they attempted to infiltrate Pakistan. One of the slain, identified as Qasim, was an Afghan national and former Afghan Border Police member.

In Khyber District’s Hovid area, Special Branch officer Shafiullah Khan, abducted days earlier, was safely recovered following jirga negotiations led by tribal elders. In Boshera, Kurram, a man sustained injuries in a landmine explosion, while in Spen Qabar, police reported an 18-year-old woman was shot dead by her son-in-law in a suspected honour-related killing.

In Karak’s Takht Nasrati area, a joint operation by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and local police resulted in the death of one terrorist following an armed exchange on Madki Road. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the scene.

At the Torkham border, repatriation of Afghan refugees continued for the third consecutive day, with over 19,000 individuals crossing back into Afghanistan. Authorities said arrangements have been made to ensure safe and orderly movement across the border.

Security analysts say the continued operations demonstrate Pakistan’s resolve to dismantle militant networks across all provinces. However, officials acknowledge that challenges persist in remote border districts where cross-border infiltration remains a major concern.
