Pakistan issues visas to Indian Sikh Yatrees on the eve of the 551st Birth Anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak

Today, Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has issued visas to Indian Sikh Yatrees to participate in the 551st Birth Anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak at Nankana Sahib in Pakistan from 27 November – 1 December 2020. Pakistani authorities have made special arrangements for the event in view of the Covid-19 situation.

Thousands of Sikh and Hindu Yatrees from India visit Pakistan every year to participate in various religious festivals, under the Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines of 1974. Given the importance of the Birth Anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion, Pakistan side is welcoming the Indian Sikhs Yatrees to Pakistan. Many Sikh Yatrees from countries other than India would also visit Pakistan to attend the event.

Pakistan High Commission in India extends warm felicitations to the Sikh community in India and all over the world who are celebrating the 551st Birth Anniversary of the founder of their religion, Sikhism. The High Commission also wishes a spiritually rewarding yatra to the pilgrims visiting Pakistan on this occasion.
