Pakistan Navy is hosting 8th Maritime Security Workshop (MARSEW-8) at PN War College, Lahore from Tuesday.
The ten-day event will be attended by parliamentarians, academics, entrepreneurs, media fraternity and other stakeholders to enhance strategic understanding of maritime security and Pakistan’s blue economy through inclusive, multi-sectoral dialogue.
In a message, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has said that Maritime Security Workshop is aimed at sensitizing maritime stakeholders and decision makers to support suitable policy formulation at the national level.
Extending a warm welcome to the participants, the CNS said that such diversity is pivotal in developing a shared understanding of Pakistan’s maritime challenges and opportunities.
The Naval Chief said Pakistan’s Blue Economy potential has the capacity to add tens of billions of dollars to the economy, if tapped effectively.
