According to him, the current fleet of the Indian Navy cannot pose any major threat to the Pakistan Navy and if the Indian Navy takes any provocative action, it will prove to be an easy target for the Pakistan Navy. The spokesperson added that the Pakistan Navy is ready to counter any misadventure of the enemy in any case.

The spokesperson also clarified that India has stepped up its military preparations and has sent warships equipped with supersonic cruise missiles toward Pakistan, possibly targeting the port of Karachi. British media had claimed that the Indian Navy has sent aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates and anti-submarine ships to a distance of about 300 to 400 miles from the Pakistani coast, some of which are equipped with Russian-made Brahmos missiles that can hit targets up to 500 miles away.

However, security sources say that the Indian Navy fleet has not yet come close enough to pose a threat to the Pakistani city or its shipping lines.
