Senator Mushahid Hussain said on Monday that Pakistan rejects trade or new cold wars with China.

According to the reports of Baaghitv, Chairman Senate Foreign Affairs Committee Mushaid Hussain rejected trade war or any cold war with China. He was speaking on an event, where a book, on the leadership of Chinese president, was launched which was authored by Group Captain (retd) Sultan M Haali.

“President Xi has placed China at the centre stage of global politics leading the struggle against climate change, supporting globalisation as well as launching the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) of which CPEC is the flagship project,” he said.

Senator Mushaid Hussain termed the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) a diplomatic success as more than 150 countries are a member of this initiative and it is the biggest development of the 21st century.

Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing on this occasion said, “Pakistan-China relations have stood the test of changing times and their relationship today is more robust and resilient.”

On this occasion Azad Jammu Kasmir (AJK) Sardar Masood Khan and renowned Chinese Professor Professor Li Xiguang was also present as the event was chired by AJK president Sardar Masood Khan.
