Pakistan seals land border with Iran

Lahore, 30th June: Pakistan has sealed its land border with Iran over fears of the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

According to reports, the Pakistan government has issued orders to shut down the land border with its neighboring country Iran in order to control the spread of COVID-19 from Iran’s city Zahedan.

After reports of Iran’s city Zahedan in the grip of coronavirus, Pakistan closed ts Taftan border and no one is allowed to cross the border from either side.

Earlier in May this year, Pakistan sealed its land borders with Iran and Afghanistan in order to contain the spread of new variants of the virus from both countries.

According to the orders issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the authorities had revised the land border policy last month in order to stop the transfer of new variants of COVID-19 from neighboring countries.
