In a major update ahead of Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test series, hosts have suffered major setback with senior pacer ruled out.
Aamir Jamal, a right-arm fast bowler, has been released from Pakistan’s Test squad ahead of first Test that begins August 21.
Aamir, who had initially been included in the squad pending a fitness clearance, has now been advised to focus on his recovery at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, and he has been released from the squad, report said.
The 27-year-old pacer suffered a back injury while playing county cricket earlier this year and is currently recovering from it.
The Pakistan Cricket Board’s decision to prioritize Aamir’s long-term health is a testament to their commitment to their players’ well-being, report further said.
Meanwhile, the second Test has been shifted to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium due to the construction work that was scheduled to take place at Karachi.
