The first T20 International cricket match of the limited format series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played today at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
The match between the two teams will start at 3.30 pm Pakistan Standard Time. Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam hinted at testing young players in the T20 series against Zimbabwe.
During a virtual press conference in Islamabad, Babar Azam said that in T20, we will try to enter the field with positive thinking. He said that vice-captain Shadab Khan will not be available for the team in the first T20 as in the one-day match. We want to give a chance to the new boys against Zimbabwe, who have got to open so we can watch good cricket. “We have done a lot of work in fielding and finishing matches, young players are coming to the national team through performances,” he said.
Babar Azam also said that Mohammad Musa, Mohammad Hasnain and Khushdal were allowed on the basis of their domestic performances. The team will give a chance to young players for combinations. “I will also include Abdullah Shafiq in the T20 series. I have to think not as my own but as a captain now,” he said.
The second T20 match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played on November 8 and the third on November 10.
