Pakistani Actress, Zaheen Tahira Passed Away

Karachi (9th July, 2019): Renowned veteran actor, Zaheen Tahira passed away in Karachi after undergoing treatment for cardiac arrest.

Famous actor and director, Zaheen Tahira passes away in Karachi. People from the showbiz industry have reportedly offered their condolences at her passing.

According to Baaghi TV’s reports, Zaheen Tahira had been undergoing treatment in a local hospital in Karachi. Last night she had been transferred to the Emergency ward due to deteriorating health however, she could not survive. Many celebrities have expressed regret at her passing.

Behroz Sabswari while offering his condolences, has stated:

“This is Allah’s will. I had known her [Zaheen Tahira] since my childhood, she was a hardworking woman, may Allah bless her with maghfirat [forgiveness]”.

Veteran actor, Qavi Khan stated:

“Zaheen Tahira was our senior in the industry, she has performed in more than 700 drama serials, she has always worked with principles, I pray that Allah blesses her with maghfirat”.

Zaheen Tahira had started her career in the 1960’s. She has worked in more than 700 dramas and films as a central and supporting character. Apart from acting she has also been involved with directing and producing. Tahira earned great recognition for her play, “Khuda ki Basti”. She had been associated with the television industry for nearly five decades.

Moreover, Zaheen Tahira had been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award n 2013 for her remarkable contributions in the field of acting. She had also been awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan for her contributions in this filed.

According to Baaghi TV’s reports, funeral prayers for Zaheen Tahira to be held tomorrow with Asar prayers, in the Ibrahimi masjid of the North Nazimabad area. Burial to be carried out in Paposh Nagar Cemetery, as confirmed by the family of the deceased.
