CHAMAN / KURRAM — October 13, 2025: Security forces report that militants from the Afghan Taliban, along with elements of Fitna al-Khawarij, attacked the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate near Spin Boldak, resulting in its partial destruction. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) sources, the assault appears to target cross-border trade and local transit, with villagers and nearby settlements reportedly used as shields during the attack.

The army countered the assault in the Kurram sector overnight, destroying eight militant posts and six tanks, dismantling equipment and eliminating scores of terrorists. U.S.-made weapons were recovered from the battlefield, ISPR stated. Pakistani forces say they foiled a coordinated raid and delivered a strong retaliation. Reports suggest additional Taliban and Khawarij elements are regrouping around Boldak, signaling further escalation along the border.
