Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has summoned the National Security Committee to meet at 10 am today, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has said, according to state broadcaster Pakistan Television (PTV).
The development came after India’s cowardly attack on nine Pakistani sites in the midnight.
On the other hand, a state of emergency has been imposed across Punjab, Pakistan. A high alert has been issued, as CM Maryam Nawaz gives blunt warning to India.

Following the Indian aggression on Bahawalpur, the Punjab government has imposed a state of emergency across the province. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned this cowardly attack and gave a clear message that “India started it, we will finish it.”
According to Baaghi TV, all departments including Punjab Police, security agencies, Rescue 1122, district administration, and civil defense have been put on high alert immediately. The leaves of doctors and medical staff of all government hospitals in Punjab have been cancelled, while all staff have been instructed to resume duties immediately.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said in her statement: “We want peace, but with dignity. If war is imposed, the entire nation will turn into a legion.” She appealed to the people not to step out of their homes unnecessarily and to believe only in information obtained from official sources. Instructions have been issued to strictly follow the instructions of civil defense.
Appealing to avoid rumors in view of the current situation, Maryam Nawaz said: “Do not listen to rumors, act only on information obtained from official sources. The nation stands by the Pakistan Army.” The Punjab government has appealed for complete unity and responsibility on this occasion so that any emergency situation can be dealt with effectively.
