Palestinian parties ready to hold meeting in Cairo at Egypt’s invitation

June 8, 2021 BaaghiTV: According to the details, the leadership of the Palestinian factions has accepted the invitation of Egypt to hold a meeting in Cairo, after which the Palestinian leadership will leave for Egypt via Rafah crossing next Thursday and Friday. This was stated by the sources in an exclusive interview with Al-Hadath Channels.

Sources say talks between the Palestinian factions will be held in Cairo next Saturday under Egyptian supervision. Talks will continue on Sunday. A delegation of Palestinian Ministry of Housing led by Secretary of Construction Naji Sarhan and a delegation of businessmen will also attend the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to review steps to begin the process of rebuilding the Gaza Strip.

Sources also say that Egypt will monitor the changing situation in Palestine and the expected deal between Hamas and Tel Aviv for the exchange of prisoners with Israel. Last week, the Egyptian government stressed the need for Palestinian factions to convene in Cairo and take a united stand for the reconstruction of Gaza.
