Pakistan Airlines Pilots’ Association (PALPA), on their official Twitter account, released a statement regarding the mental condition of Captain Sajjad Gul (late).
According to their statement, the Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) Captain Sajjad Gul (late) was declared ‘fit to fly’ according to the medical reports given by four different psychiatrists.

Three different psychiatrists, Dr W Prothero from Ashford Hospital, Middlesex, Dr Oscar Hill from Middlesex Hospital and Dr Maurice Greenberg from University College Hospital, London have declared Captain Sajjad Gul (late) mentally stable. Moreover, Dr Muhammad Riaz Bhatti from Mayo Hospital, Lahore also declared Captain Gul ‘totally fit psychologically as well as mentally.’
However, this brings a big question mark on the credibility and qualification of the psychiatrists associated with the national airline.
It may be recalled that on May 22, a national carrier flight PK-8303 to Karachi crashed into a crowd near Jinnah International Airport, killing 97 people including Captain Sajjad Gul (late) while two were miraculously safe.
