PCB terminates contract of HBLPSL International Media Rights Holder

BAAGHI TV: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that it has terminated its contract with the international media rights partner of HBL Pakistan Super League 2020 for several other serious violations of the agreement, including payment of dues.

HBLPSL’s media rights for 2019 to 2021 were acquired by TechFront International FZE, but the PCB has now terminated the agreement after they repeatedly violated the contract.

Pakistan Super League project executive Shoaib Naveed says the PCB is a professional body that works transparently. Despite repeated reminders and contacts in this matter, the partner failed to abide by its obligations and agreement, leaving the PCB with no option but to terminate the agreement.

Shoaib Naveed said that it was necessary for the PCB to terminate the agreement at that time because the PCB should now find a suitable time to find a new partner for the upcoming HBL PSL event. Will

He added that the PCB has also initiated liaison with relevant broadcasters and various sub-licensees for international areas. The PCB has also begun the process of developing an integrated media rights strategy for HBLPSL 2021.

The PCB reserves the right to claim its damages in this regard and will take the strictest steps in this regard in the interest of the League and all its stakeholders.
