PDMA issues rain alert for Sindh

KARACHI: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has once again issued a rain alert in Sindh.

According to details, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a rain alert and indicated the possibility of heavy rains in the next 48 hours.

PDMA Sindh directed the concerned agencies to make arrangements. Provincial Disaster Management Authority said that rains are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Tharparkar, Nangarparkar, Mirpur Khas, Islamkot, Umerkot, Sanghar. Heavy rains are also expected in Sakhar and Larkana divisions.

Heavy rains are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Mirpur Khas and Badin today and tomorrow.

It should be noted that the rain system in the Bay of Bengal has affected the lower Indus by taking moisture from the Arabian Sea, under which it may rain in Karachi this evening.

A spokesman for the Meteorological Department said that it was raining in Lower Sindh and the seventh spell of monsoon is likely to enter Karachi this evening.
