People of the World! The Ottoman era will revive: Erdogan

ANKARA: According to reports, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that a new era is about to begin after the sanctions are lifted.

Addressing the 27th session of the Turkish Parliament, he said that world powers around the world are proud to raise their voices for the Palestinian nation and the oppressed Muslims around the world.

“Occupied Jerusalem is our city, and a new era is about to begin with the lifting of sanctions imposed during World War I,” he added.

The Turkish President said that he would raise his voice for the rights of the Palestinian people at every forum. He further said, “We are proud that our country, nation and government all speak up for the Palestinian nation. Jerusalem is our city. It is possible that the era of Ottoman resistance will be revived.”

He says that in the city which we were forced to leave in the First World War, there are still signs of resistance from the Ottoman Empire. He said, “Jerusalem is our city, one of us. Defending the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people on every platform is a source of pride for us as a nation.”

Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the Turkish National Assembly, a supporter of our brothers everywhere from Cyprus and Azerbaijan to the Balkans and North Africa, has proved that it is a ray of hope not only for its nation but also for all its friends.

He said that for Turkey, our Azerbaijani brothers are “two governments and one nation” and we will continue to cooperate with our brothers with all our potential and with all sincerity.

Speaking on the topic of fight against terrorism, President Erdogan said, “Operations will continue until all terrorist cells on our Iraqi border are eliminated. We do not want clashes, tensions and lawlessness in the Mediterranean. We are only defending our rights and a just solution to the differences over the distribution of political and economic potential in the Mediterranean is our first priority.”
