According to eyewitnesses, at least 20 children were taken to Lady Reading Hospital before the rescue team arrived at the scene. Rescue teams later shifted the injured to the hospital. 50 injured have been shifted to hospitals, some of the injured children are also said to be in critical condition. Most of the blast victims were children between the ages of 10 and 15, police said.

The injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. According to initial reports, more than 100 children were studying at the madrassa. The blast was loud and then a fire broke out.
