It may be mentioned that 7 people were martyred and 72 injured in an explosion in a mosque adjacent to a madrassa in Dir Colony Zargarabad area of Peshawar. The injured have been shifted to hospitals. The condition of several of the injured is critical. Hospitals have declared emergency and doctors’ leave have been canceled.

The blast took place in the main hall of the mosque while the teaching process was going on. Meanwhile, a man carrying a bag entered the hall and then a few moments later a loud explosion took place. The wall on one side of the mosque collapsed, the plaster from the roof fell off, the windows shattered, a ditch near the pulpit collapsed, glass fragments, student bags and pencils shattered on the floor, and rescue teams rushed the injured to hospital.
