The Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected the petition against the appointment of the new DG Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Baaghi TV reported.

The court dismissed the petition as inadmissible. Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that if the petitioner did not change his attitude, the court could impose heavy fines. The court further remarked that the appointment of the DG was carried out two years later. The non-deployment for two years has had an impact on the aviation industry.

It may be recalled that Flight Lieutenant Retired Khaqan Murtaza was appointed as Director General Civil Aviation (DGCAA) and the Establishment Division had issued a formal notification for appointment of Khaqan Murtaza as DGCAA.
