Baaghi TV has learnt that a new bench of the High Court has been constituted for petition against the women’s march organizers.
According to reports, The Registrar’s office of the Islamabad High Court has fixed the case hearing for April 26th. The single bench Justice Amir Farooq will hear the petitions against the organizers. According to reports, the case has been filed by Advocate Tariq Asad on behalf of the Shuhada Foundation.
According to reports, the petition has requested a ban on the Women’s march, Valentine’s Day and other similar events. The petition further argued, “Don’t women have legal rights in Pakistan?” It was requested that the matter be submitted to the Islamic Ideological Council for consideration.
Moreover, the petition argued that the records of funding of foreign as well as Pakistani Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) be sought.
