Petition filed in Lahore High Court for disqualification of CM Punjab

According to Baaghi TV, a petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court seeking disqualification of the Punjab Chief Minister.

The petition was filed by Advocate Abdul Waheed Baloch in the Lahore High Court. In the petition, the Returning Officer of the Election Commission has been made a party.

The petitioner took a stand in the petition filed in the Lahore High Court that Usman Buzdar won from P-286 and was elected to the Punjab Assembly. Usman Buzdar’s nomination papers show low value of assets. Usman Buzdar hid the facts and did not remain honest and trustworthy. The petitioner asked the court to disqualify Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

It should be noted that Usman Buzdar in the documents submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan in 2018 showed the value of his assets of Rs 25 million. He owns three tractors worth Rs 2.4 million and two vehicles worth Rs 3.6 million. Sardar Usman Buzdar is an Masters LLB, his profession is Advocate and Landlord. According to documents, Usman Buzdar has 20 tons of gold and furniture worth Rs 50,000, while he has accounts in four banks, in addition to which he has also obtained 3 insurance policies.

According to a report released in Punjab, there was a discrepancy in the details of assets of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. According to the documents, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has stated in his affidavit that the assets are worth Rs. 761,000 while in Form B he has stated Rs. 2.5 crore. Usman Buzdar has stated that last year’s assets were worth Rs 400,000 and also said that he had paid income tax of Rs 61,000.
