Lahore, 26th May: The petitions filed by the President and the Prime Minister against Justice Qazi Faiz Esa have been returned with objections.
According to reports, the Registrar’s Office has returned the petitions filed against Justice Qazi Faiz Esa with objections.
According to sources, on the petitions filed by the President and the Prime Minister, the Registrar’s Office objected that a case cannot be reconsidered twice.
The President, the Prime Minister, and the Law Minister had filed review petitions against Justice Qazi Faiz Esa.
According to sources, separate petitions were filed against Justice Qazi Faiz by President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Law Minister Forogh Naseem, and Special Accountability Assistant Shehzad Akbar.
Similarly, a petition was also filed by the FBR against Justice Qazi Faiz Esa. The petitions called for the formation of a full bench comprising all the judges of the Supreme Court.
According to sources, the Registrar has objected by the Supreme Court that a review petition cannot be filed in the same case.
