PIA announces weekly direct flights to Baku

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has crossed another milestone of success by launching direct flights to to Azerbaijan’s capital and financial hub Baku.
According to details, the national flag carrier of Pakistan will operate two weekly flights from Karachi and Lahore to Baku. The first flight will leave for Baku on March 16, 2022 from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi while the second will leave for the Azerbaijan’s capital on March 19 from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
The commencement of direct flights to Azerbaijan’s capital will fulfil the longstanding demand of citizens of both countries, especially the Pakistanis residing in Baku—an important spot in global tourism.

In addition, PIA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Air Marshal (retd) Arshad Malik congratulated the airline officials on finalizing the flight arrangements. He said that Baku has a high status as a tourist destination and passengers will now be able to travel directly from Karachi and Lahore directly to Baku on PIA flights.
Furthermore, he added that plans were being made to add more locations to the Pakistan International Airlines network.
